Abut Halbuni’s Residence

Among the interesting architectural monuments of Varna, the building of the Egyptian merchant Abut Halbuni stands out. It was built in 1906, according to the project of engineer Gero Gerov. It is located on “Preslav” street, the main shopping street of Varna in the past.

The architecture of the building impresses with exquisite ornaments reflecting a strong oriental influence – Moorish arches, floral motifs, etc. Many locals call the building the “Arab Confectionery” because of the establishment that existed on the first floor years ago.
