Taking this simple circular route around the Cathedral gardens will highlight several interesting points of interest, once completed make sure you enter the Cathedral and take in the wonders of the internal painting and frescos.

- Clock Tower . Built at the end of the 19th century, a 24-meter stone tower in which the original clock mechanism operates and announces the time every round hour with a bell ring.
- Naval Club. The majestic building was built at the end of the 19th century in the spirit of neoclassicism. Built as an officer’s club, the building is located at the corner of two of the city’s main boulevards.
- Splendid Hotel. A beautiful old building with imposing architecture, built at the beginning of the 20th century as the family home of engineer Petar Bonchev.
- Vladislav Varnenchik Boulevard. One of the main shopping streets of Varna, starting from the historical center of the city. It bears the name of the Polish-Hungarian King Władysław III Jagiełło, who died on November 10, 1444 during the Battle of Varna.
- Central Post Office Varna. One of the historical buildings, built in 1935, according to the project of the Bulgarian architect Angel Momov. A small part of the sculptural decoration of the building, the work of the Ukrainian-Polish sculptor Mykhailo Paraschuk, a student of Auguste Rodin, has been preserved.
- Palace of the Holy Metropolis of Varna and Great Preslav. Next to the cathedral is located the palace of the Holy Metropolis of Varna and Great Preslav.
- Garrison Sailors’ Club. This beautiful old building was built in 1900 and was used as the Girls’ Craft School “Diligence”.
- Heroes Salon. The building was built in 1910 as the “Gymnastics Hall of the Varna Black Sea Hero” – Former building of the sports association. The building continues to be used for sporting and cultural purposes.
- Theotokos Cathedral. The Dormition of the Mother of God Cathedral is the largest church building in Varna and the third largest cathedral in Bulgaria. Officially opened on 30th August 1886. It is the residence of the bishopric of Varna and Preslav and is the prime symbol of Varna.
