The Museum, which is picturesquely positioned in the midst of the Sea Gardens, exhibits some of the most distinctive natural elements of the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, from Romania down to Cape Emmineh, and is organized into three main sections: geology, flora, and animals.

The last portion contains tertiary tusks from mammoths, mastodons, rhinoceroses, and shark teeth, as well as Mesozoic mollusk fossils.

The second sector depicts the most common flora around the Black Sea shore, as well as some of the most common seaweeds.

By far the most intriguing section of this Museum is the presentation of local fauna species. It displays some extremely unusual and beautiful steppe models, wild life specimens from the Mediterranean, Asia Minor, and the Middle East, as well as a large collection of local butterflies and moths.

Tropical species such as multicolored butterflies, unusual forms of ocean mussels, sea hedgehogs, and starfishes are depicted in the exotic specimens area.

Varna’s Natural-Science Museum or History Museum researches and popularizes the geology, vegetation, and wildlife of the Black Sea and Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast. Geology, Flora, and Fauna are the three parts. The formation and structure of the Earth, life progress, growth, and expansion on Earth, Mesozoic and Tertiary fossils, mineral samples, the main species of flora along the Black Sea coast, swamps and forests, diverse shapes, forms, and types of vegetation, and animal life in this area are all displayed.
